Tim Galvin is responsible for leadership of Brexton’s core values and mission as well as being visionary for the growth of the Brexton group of companies. His daily involvement includes business development, mentoring, front-end project formulation, and helping clients and partners set realistic goals and then assuring that project goals are met.
Tim has built more than 9.4 Million SF of projects with over 49 years of development experience with land, office, mixed-use, hospitality, multi-family, retail and industrial development
Tim attended Marion Technical College, Columbus State Community College, Hondros College and Ohio State University. He received his Ohio real estate sales license in 1988.
Since graduating from high school, Tim has worked for The State of Ohio, Bird & Bull Engineers, Turner Construction Company and Continental Companies before co-founding Equity in 1989. Tim spent 13 years running Equity, a construction/development company; building it from 2 employees with 1.5 million dollars in revenue, to nearly 40 employees with over 50 million dollars in revenue and opening offices in multiple cities. Tim incorporated Brexton in the spring of 2001, bringing over 3 decades of construction, engineering and real estate development experience to the Brexton team. Tim has experience with a wide range of construction and development projects throughout the United States since starting in the industry in 1973, including land development and planning, high rise structures, hospitals, historic renovations, hospitality, multi-family, retail facilities, suburban office buildings (with an emphasis on healthcare), Luxury Self-Storage Facilities and worship facilities.
Tim is a key leader in construction industry and was appointed by Ohio’s Governor and is serving his 4th 4 year term on the Ohio Board of Building Standards (OBBS) and was re-elected Chairman of OBBS in 2022, after serving as Chairman for 2 years chairing the Education and Certification Committees for 10 years, He served a term on The City of Grandview Heights City Council as City Councilman and Chaired The Recreation, Services & Public Facilities and was a member of the Safety & Economic Development Committee, current City of Grandview Heights Parks and Facilities Board member, active member of the AGC PRO Family Business Institute Roundtable, Past President of the Ohio Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), past Chairman of the Central Ohio (AGC), serves on the AGC Project Delivery System Committee, AGC Legislative Committee Chairman, AGC Marketing Committee, served on many other AGC committees and projects since 1986, current BX of Cleveland Ohio and Central Ohio Builders Exchange active member (BX), Design Build Institute of America active member (DBIA), Tri-Village Area Chamber of Commerce active member, Self-Storage Associations of America and Ohio (SSA), appointed by Mayor Coleman in 2007 through 2014 to The City of Columbus Building Services Review Committee (BSRC) to help make the City more development friendly, as well as having served on the Diocesan Building Commission (DBC) for the Bishop of Columbus from 1995 to 2003. He is a past member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), American Institute of Architects associate member (AIA), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), National, Ohio and Columbus Board of Realtors, Columbus Commercial Industrial Investment Realtors (CCIIR), Building Officials and Code Administrators International member (BOCA) and Columbus Chamber of Commerce (CCC).
He is an active member of Saint Christopher Catholic Church, Finance Committee Member and Lector, St. Francis Xavier Beneficial Society and Cum Christo of Columbus. He and his wife reside in Grandview Heights, Ohio where he was an active coach in several sports for many years.
